A mountain hut with body and soul

Situated in the upper part of the valley, next to the romanesque chapel of the same name, Sant Aniol refuge opened on June 8th 2025, after 13 years of restoration work. The refuge offers hikers comfortable facilities and services, perfect for all those who wish to enjoy the first class natural surroundings.

Distributed in three dormitories of 12 places each.

Which makes it possible to offer meals, bar service, and cafeteria to visitors spending the day in the valley.

Equipped with mattresses, duvets, quilts, and pillows with the corresponding covers.

Thanks to a satellite connection, the refuge users have access to the WiFi network.

OPERATION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT

A sustainable mountain hut to discover Alta Garrotxa

The operation of the establishment is designed in order to cause the least possible impact on the valley’s natural environment.

Wastewater is treated biologically with a combination of septic tanks and a pond with aquatic plants.

Organic waste is processed in on-site composting containers. Incinerable materials are burned in the wood boiler that provides hot water to the kitchen and showers. Non-recyclable waste is transported to containers in the nearest town for regular treatment.

To confirm the reservation, an advance payment of 50% of the total amount is required, applying the adult rate to the entire group. Minor rates will be applied to the final ticket during the stay.
